Chance Dickman

Chance Dickman

Chance Dickman started at the station in March of 2014, and is very excited to be in Eau Claire. He was born and raised in the small town of Cashton, WI which is about 30 miles east of La Crosse in the heart of Amish Country. Sports had an early impact in his life, and so did talking, so he knew that being a sports personality was the job for him someday.

He attended college at the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse, majoring in Broadcast and Digital Media Communications and minoring in Sports Broadcasting. He was the student television station's Sports Director during his sophomore and junior years, then moved into the position of Executive Producer his senior year. He also did sports play-by-play for the University's radio station.

The summer before his senior year, he did a sports internship with WISN-TV in Milwaukee. There, he was able to cover major sporting events like Brewers games, the NBA Draft, Milwaukee Mile racing, and the Women's U.S. Open Golf Championship.

These experiences in college helped him land a job as a Sports Photographer at WXOW-TV in La Crosse. He worked there for almost a year and really enjoyed shooting a variety of high school sports, and that is something he's excited to do here in the WLAX/WEUX viewing area.

When he's not at work, you can find him spending time with friends and family. He's also a passionate Wisconsin sports fan, so he spends a lot of time watching or attending games when he can.

He's really excited to get to acquainted with the wonderful people in the Eau Claire area.
