A familiar face was on hand as the Leinenkugel’s marked 150 years in business. Former Green Bay Packer Donald Driver made a stop at the Leinenkugel’s anniversary celebration this afternoon to visit with local cheese heads.
The stop was part of Driver's "Thank You Fans" tour. As part of the stop, fans were able to get autographs and pictures with the Packers legend and get a glimpse of Drivers championship trophies.
This is driver's first time to Chippewa Falls and he says it’s great to meet all of his longtime supporters. When it comes to the Packers’ team this year -- Driver has high hopes.
“It was awesome. I’ve never been to a small town like this, but this is what the fan tour is all about. Coming to these small towns and get the opportunity to interact with our fans and it's been great. They're looking good. I think now, just moving forward, if they can stay healthy they'll be making another run for the postseason. From there, we hope that they can get to the Super Bowl."
Proceeds raised from the tour will benefit the Donald Driver Foundation which helps support underprivileged children and families.
