Congressman Ron Kind was in La Crosse today laying out his goals for 2018. On the campus of Western Technical College, Kind spoke about what he hopes to accomplish this year.
Some of his priorities for this year include creating jobs in Wisconsin and addressing the drug epidemic. Kind says that the first items of businesses this year will be to create a farm bill that works for family farmers and working to make higher education more affordable.
"As representative of six of the public universities, Viterbo a private university in La Crosse, four tech schools and their campuses. This congressional district is a mecca for higher education learning and I want to continue that and make sure that the students have the financial means to be able to go on to school."
After his press conference Kind hosted a listening session on campus where citizens in the district can voice their concerns.
