Hi, my name is Apollo and I am a very loving and polite first class sweetheart, looking for a home where I could be your only dog. I do fine with some dogs, but I am quite particular about who my dog friends are, so being your only canine would be my first choice.
I may seem a little apprehensive at first, but I warm up fairly quick. I am great with kids and with all women, however, I do have to admit that bigger men do make me a bit nervous until I have had time to get to know them. Just let me come to you first and smell. It won't take long for you to discover that I am such a love and very caring.
All of my dog walkers tell me that I am a wonderful large dog, so it must be true! They love taking me for walks because I am well mannered and I don't pull on my leash at all. I am an easy-going, 3-and-1/2-year-old, neutered male, Hound/English Mastiff mix. I know sit, stay, lay, I am crate trained, and of course housebroken. I do scare easily if I hear loud noises, so I am very anxious to be adopted. How about if you stop at the shelter and take a look at me; I will give you my best "please choose me" look, we can spend some time together, your heart will melt, and I will become your best friend forever. Sounds like an excellent plan to me!
Please be aware that because of the way this dog looks he may be perceived as a certain type. We want to alert you that some communities, landlords, management companies, and insurance agencies have size and breed restrictions, limits on number of pets, and/or require pet deposits or additional fees. Before adopting, we encourage all adopters to know what restrictions may apply to you.
