Bob Gallaher is our Fox 25/48 News Anchor. He comes to the Fox 25/48 News team after spending the past 15 years working as the Sports Director at WEAU 13 News. During that time, Bob has had the opportunity to cover Super Bowls, Rose Bowls, NCAA Final Four, MLB All-star games and post-season plus high school sports.
Prior to coming to Eau Claire, Bob worked at WTMJ-TV in Milwaukee as a News Editor from 1990-1992 and from 1993-1994. Bob also worked at WJFW-TV in Rhinelander, Wisconsin as a News Reporter from September 1992 until May 1993.
Bob grew up in Clarendon Hills, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. He attended Benet Academy High School in Lisle, Illinois. Bob then attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, graduating with a Broadcast Journalism degree in May 1990.
Bob is an avid Chicago sports fan including the Cubs and Blackhawks and Marquette Golden Eagles basketball fan, and during his free time, likes to play golf, and spend time with his family.
Bob and his wife Colleen, an elementary school teacher in the Eau Claire School District, reside in Eau Claire. They are the proud parents of a beautiful little girl, Mary Kate who was born in November, 2013.
