Kingston is a 6-month-old, neutered male, Cattle Dog Mix who is current on vaccinations.
When Kingston first arrived at the shelter he was understandably very scared. He went into a wonderful foster home to give him time to come out of his shell and help work on his confidence. He is a very sweet, affectionate and playful puppy now! He can still nervous in new situations and with new people but does warm up quickly with patience, sweet talking and most of all TREATS. He is looking for a committed and patient owner who will allow him time to adjust to a new home.
He is still very young and is working on his house training in his foster home. He’s been doing great with not having accidents when let out on a regular schedule. He will need a consistent routine and frequent bathroom breaks to start. We highly recommend utilizing a crate when left alone to help prevent accidents.
Kingston is living in a foster home with another dog who is confident and they do great together. He would benefit from a confident canine friend in his new home (he loves to play!) but would likely do fine as an only dog as well. He can be too much for shy/submissive dogs. His ideal home would be in a quiet environment where everyone is 16 years or older.
We are requiring Kingston to attend training classes with his new owner to help work on his confidence and bond with new home person. There is an additional $100 deposit that will be refunded upon completion of the classes.
