Eau Claire County Humane Association Pet Of The Week: Floyd

Pet of the Week

Floyd is a dignified ol’ boy, full of excitement to meet his new people! He’s a gentle giant – don’t let his pictures fool you, he has long legs and a big fluffy tail.

At 11 years young, Floyd is ready to settle down with his very own family to love endlessly. He has arthritis, which just means he’ll need some extra soft spots to lay and some extra TLC with your vet. He gobbles up his glucosamine chews like treats – Yummy! He walks a bit funny, but that’s ok, we love his special strut! He loves to curl up on squishy beds, and would probably love to hog your bed or couch too. As much as he loves to relax, this big boy turns all puppy when the ball comes out! A short game of fetch each day is the way to his heart. Tennis balls. Squeaky toys. He’ll even gladly fetch a stick – just toss it and he will romp after it.

Floyd brings the toy right back, and will drop it when you ask. Floyd will need to be neutered before he can leave for his new home. His neuter fee is $250. Once he’s neutered, he’ll be all set for a home of his own. Are you ready to be loved unconditionally? Apply today! It’s Adopt A Dog Month and all dogs will receive $40 off their adoption fee. We want to alert you that some communities, landlords, management companies, and insurance agencies have size and breed restrictions, limits on number of pets, and/or require pet deposits or additional fees. Before adopting, we encourage all adopters to know what restrictions may apply to you.
