The Wisconsin Department of Health Services is reporting 926 new positive test results on Sunday.
This brings Wisconsin’s total number of COVID-19 cases to nearly 37,700. Health officials say 78 percent of these are considered recovered.
Seven additional COVID-19 related deaths are reported Sunday which brings the death toll to 821.
Cases across the state, as well as the percentage positive of all those tested, have been increasing since mid-June, mirroring spikes seen in most states.
In our area, Eau Claire County records nine new cases of COVID-19 for a total of 332 cases. Health officials say 235 of these people have recovered.
Chippewa County reported four new cases today for a total of 129. Of those cases, 39 are active.
Five new cases were reported in Winona County for a total of 141 cases. Fifteen people have died from COVID-19 in the county.
In La Crosse County, 15 new cases are reported for a total of 582.
One new case is confirmed in Pepin County bringing its total to 14.
