Jackson County today against the Altoona man accused of shooting and killing another man.
Twenty-seven year old Michael Nelson faces one count of first-degree intentional homicide.
Deputies say early Sunday morning, they got a call from a man who told dispatchers he had just shot someone. When they got to the home in the town of Knapp, they found 57 year old Randall Perry dead.
Investigators say Nelson admitted to the shooting.
They say the two knew each other and alcohol was likely a factor in the shooting.
