The one hundred twenty-fifth La Crosse Interstate Fair began today in West Salem, offering livestock showings, 4-H demonstrations and carnival rides.
This Thursday evening, for the first time ever, a barn hunt. A sport that has dogs sniff out rats in a haystack.
This year’s Fairest of the Fair says there’s something for everyone. “Tomorrow we have a lot of kids events going on, we have a kids pedal tractor pull going on later that night, on Friday night we have the horse pull and street drags going on. On Saturday we have the Super Farmer Olympics and Nascar model racing and on Sunday we have the battle of the bands and Round Robin Showmanship.”
The fair runs through this Sunday and offers free admission and parking.
