Two people are injured after being thrown from a truck that hit an overpass bridge in Monroe County.

It happened near mile marker 144 on I-94 Friday morning.

29-year old Andrew Oswald was driving a tandem axle roll-off container truck traveling eastbound on 94.

The container truck had its container hoist extended which hit the Monroe county highway *e-t* overpass bridge as the truck was traveling under it.

Oswald and his 69 year old passenger Jesse Rowell were ejected from the truck through the windshield… Neither were wearing a seatbelt.

Both Oswald and Rowell were taken to Gunderson Lutheran in La Crosse with non-life threatening injuries.

The Monroe county highway department and Wisconsin D.O.T. bridge inspector are currently inspecting the bridge for safety.

The Wisconsin state patrol is still investigating the crash.
