President Biden plans to significantly increase federal food assistance for millions of families. On Friday, he asked USDA to allow states to increase Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits, by as much as 20-percent, and to increase by 15-percent benefits awarded through school meals programs for low- income students that was started in the pandemic. That could give a family of three children more than 100-dollars in extra benefits every two months. The increase could help an additional 12-million people.

And would you drink Milk that doesn’t come from a cow, and instead from a science lab! An Israeli company called Remilk is creating milk by using microbial fermentation to create cow-free dairy products. It claims this method can dramatically increase efficiency in production of milk. It just announced it has gotten more than 11-million dollars in funding.

How awesome is this? The Candy Fun House, in Miss-iss-auga, Ontario is looking for candyologists. That’s a fancy title for someone willing to get paid for eating thousands of confectionary products. The position pays 30-dollars per hour. If you’re interested you can apply until February 5. If you get the job, you’ll get to help the company pick the products that will be part of the inaugural Candy Funhouse-branded candy line.
