Company Turning Thanksgiving Meal into Ice Cream Treats

John Deere union workers will remain on the picket lines for now. That’s after they voted to reject the latest contract offer reached between the UAW and the company. It’s the second contract proposal to be turned down, with 55-percent of union employees voting against the latest offer. A senior Deere official, saying in a statement they will execute the next phase of their Customer Service Continuation Plan. The strike is now entering its third week.

Those cookies and candies you like are going to cost more. Mondelez International said prices for its cookies and candies would climb further in the months ahead as the snacking company aims to stay ahead of escalating costs. The maker of Oreo cookies, Toblerone chocolate, and Sour Patch Kids candy is raising prices around the world as it pays more for ingredients, transportation, and wages.

How about eating your Thanksgiving meal in ice cream form? Salt and Straw is offering Thanksgiving-flavored ice creams. And we’re not just talking pumpkin or pecan pie flavors. You can have your entire meal in frozen, creamy form by ordering caramelized turkey and cranberry sauce ice cream, and parker house rolls with salted buttercream. There are also classic dessert flavors like candied walnut cheesecake and pumpkin and gingersnap pie.
