President Biden and Chinese Xi Jinping met virtually for three hours on Tuesday. This was the third time the two leaders have spoken since Mister Biden took office in January. The meeting covered a host of hot-button issues from human rights to crypto mining. The President also pressed Xi to uphold China’s commitments to the phase 1 trade deal. As of September, China had purchased 76-percent of US agriculture it had agreed to buy. The deal runs out at the end of December.
KFC is working to change the drive-thru experience by providing an alternative it believes is more efficient. It’s called ‘quick pick-up’. You order ahead on the KFC app or its website, drive to the location and park in a dedicated spot. Then you go in and get your food off a shelf by the register. The company cited a survey showing the speed of KFC drive-throughs slowed down by about a half-minute this year as the reason behind the idea.
And here’s the latest pie trying to make its way onto your Thanksgiving table. Reese’s released its largest peanut butter cup ever, in the form of a full-size pie. Reese’s advertised it as a limited-time offer with only three thousand peanut butter pies available, at a cost of 45-dollars plus tax. It was so limited, it sold out in just a few hours on Hershey’s website.
