(WLAX/WEUX) – Jury selection began today in the murder trial of three Georgia men in the fatal shooting of Ahmaud Arbery.
The 25-year-old man was killed while jogging after being followed by a father and son in a pickup truck in their neighborhood in February 2020.
Travis McMichael and his father Gregory McMichael are accused of killing Arbery. While a third man William Bryan, who filmed the deadly shooting, also is charged with murder.
The McMichael’s have said they thought Arbery was a burglar.
Bryan has argued that he was just a witness. Hundreds of people are ordered to report for jury duty. Jury selection could take two weeks or even longer.
