Minnesota senator Amy Klobuchar made a stop in Eau Claire Saturday morning as part of her 2020 presidential campaign trail.
The visit in Eau Claire is the democratic senator’s first campaign stop since announcing her run. Klobuchar says she’s focused on income inequality and gun reform.
“I’m asking you to join our grassroots campaign so we can take back America because it is time – it is time to do something about income inequality, it is time to do something about climate change, it is time to bridge that rural urban gap .. “It is time to do something about–by the way, after the tragedy and what we saw happen in Aurora Illinois yesterday– it is time to put sensible gun legislation in place,” said Senator Klobuchar.
Klobuchar is the only candidate from the midwest to enter the field of democratic presidential contenders so far.
