Area college students gathered today to assemble Bedtime bags for children in need.
Members of the Chippewa Valley Technical College nursing club put together bedtime bags to give to children who are part of the Bolton Refuge House.
Club members filled around 50 bags with blankets, coloring books, stuffed animals, and toiletries.
Associate director of the Bolton Refuge House, Kim Carey, says the bags are really important to the children.
Carey: “Often when children leave violent situations, their families are fleeing. They enter the shelter and they really don’t have any of their personal effects with them. So it’s pretty nice that they would have something little to call their own, that they can take back to the room with them.”
Nursing club members will be delivering the bags on March 4th.
