A Super Bowl Sunday tradition in the Chippewa Valley served up french toast, ham, and hash browns.
The event took place Sunday morning at St. Patrick’s School in Eau Claire.
For at least 20 years, the Early Risers Kiwanis Club in Eau Claire has hosted its annual breakfast fundraiser on Super Bowl Sunday.
It’s the club’s only fundraiser of the year.
Typically, the breakfast and silent auction bring in about $4,000.
The funds raised go to youth programs in the area, including the Boys and Girls Club and the YMCA.
Organizers say they serve around 350 people each year.
“For this many years, and we’ve been successful. It seems like it doesn’t matter the weather or what, the final tally is pretty close to the same every year,” said Chuck Falch with the Early Risers Kiwanis Club.
About 12 Kiwanis Club members and several 4-H members helped serve up the breakfast.
The Early Risers Kiwanis Club meets every Thursday at 7 a.m. at the VFW on Starr Avenue in Eau Claire.
