Broadcasters from all over the United States traveled to Washington D.C. on Wednesday to meet with members of Congress.
The broadcasters traveled to discuss their service to our communities and issues paramount to our industry and to our citizens.
Relevant to Western Wisconsin, members of the Wisconsin Broadcasting Association, including FOX 25/48 VP/General Manager Judson Beck, met with Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson and Rep. Ron Kind.
Specific topics discussed were, the challenges of repack (assigning stations to new channels), C-Band satellite access, the threat posed to radio by a Performance Tax and the sunsetting of the Satellite Television Extension and Localism Act Reauthorization (STELAR).
