Northstar middle school and Flynn elementary both used different tactics to help kids take a stand today.

Northstar middle school held a tug at the heartstrings – tug-o-war…Principal Tim Skutley says its
So kids can know that – when everyone tugs together against any problem – they can do great things

And at Flynn elementary – students and staff donned orange to visually take a stand against bullying

“We can link tug-of-war to what we’re trying to do as far as our core values in our school culture.”

“It’s kind of our way to visually represent we take a stand against bullying in all fashions.”

Around 50 percent of students and seventy five percent of staff at Flynn wore orange today.

And both schools say they’ll continue to make acceptance part of their regular conversation.
