Burpee Benefit for Local Boy with Brain Tumor

A local fitness training facility is giving back to one of its own.

Jenny Williams, a regular member at Ignite in Eau Claire, unexpectedly had to have her three-year-old son, Weston, airlifted to Mayo Clinic in Rochester after a routine MRI, where doctors found a large tumor on his brain.

“We have an opportunity to give back and we’re doing a burpee benefit to help raise some money for them," said Jeremy Huisheere, Director of IGNITE.

On Sunday, August 5th, the IGNITE community will hold a burpee challenge at Phoenix Park in Eau Claire.

The benefit is an opportunity to help the Williams family with medical bills. Weston is back home recovering from brain surgery to remove the tumor.

The goal is to raise $10,000.
