Chemo Care Kits Donated to Local Women

News

An area group delivered chemo care kits for women receiving care at an area cancer center.

The Ladies of the Valley made the donation Thursday to Prevea Cancer Center at HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

The group donated 20 kits for patients going through chemotherapy. Kits included items such as lotion, body oil, fuzzy socks and more.

The founder of Ladies of the Valley says it’s a fun self-care kit and she wanted to give back.

“So often in today’s world you can get down and just to know for these women who are going through such a hard time that there is someone thinking about them and there’s someone who wants them to feel better and to know they’re going to get through it,” said Megan Adams, founder of Ladies of the Valley.

She says Ladies of the Valley was founded in 2017, to help women network and discuss their personal and business lives.
