Princes, princesses, knights, and dragons were all part of an annual family event in Eau Claire.
The Eighth Annual Royal Tea Party took place Sunday at the Children’s Museum of Eau Claire.
This year’s theme was medieval adventure — to go along with the release of How to Train Your Dragon 3.
Hands on learning activities included a catapult contest, creating your own castle, and princess hats.
Children could also get their hair done at the “Castle of Curls” and get their face painted before enjoying a snack and iced tea.
Organizers wanted all children to have the chance to feel royal for a day.
“Last year we opened it up to boys and girls and that was important to us because we know how much kids like to dress up in general. It’s so much fun being able to use their imagination that way. And so, we wanted a party to celebrate all kids really, no matter what they want to dress up as,” said Amie Winters with the Children’s Museum of Eau Claire.
The event included a morning and an afternoon session with 200 people expected for each.
