As the midweek storm moves in, city officials and community members say they’re prepared.
More than 50 inches of snowfall in February broke records in Eau Claire and surrounding areas.
With more snow expected this week, people we talked with this afternoon say they’re frustrated, but not surprised.
Some parents say they’re also preparing for the possible cancelling of school classes and area activities.
“It’s kind of hard to find daycare last minute if things happen but for the most part with our schedules, we’re able to work it out but I know there’s a lot of families in our area that struggle with trying to find last minute child care,” said Elk Mound resident, Kayla Lombard.
The city of Eau Claire says its already prepared for the storm aftermath.
Officials say whether it’s February or April, crews and equipment are prepped to handle accumulating snow.
