Commission Suspends Bloomer Police Chief for Two Weeks

News

The Bloomer Board of Police Commissioners has decided to suspend Bloomer’s Chief of Police for two weeks without pay.

Jared Zwiefelhofer faced criticism after shooting a deer outside gun-deer season.

According to the commission’s decision, Zwiefelhofer misled investigators looking into the incident by providing false information.

They continue, saying that Zwiefelhofer failed to conduct his personal life in a way that fosters respect for the Bloomer Police Department.

Chief Zwifelhofer responded to the decision by saying he respects the Board of Police Commissioners and their decision.

He insists he is committed to serve Bloomer as their police chief into the future.

He does not plan to appeal the decision.
