It might have taken longer than he wanted, but last night Chippewa Falls native Kyle Cody heard his name called in the MLB draft by the Minnesota Twins.

Cody and his family gathered at his parents home to watch the draft.  The McDonell grad has a fastball that reaches 97 miles per hour, so it wasn’t a matter of would he get drafted, but when.

After over 4 hours of sitting and waiting, the Minnesota Twins were on the clock in the 2nd round with the 73rd pick and former twins fireballer Rick Aguilara took the organization’s newest fireballer Kyle Cody.
