Wisconsin senate republicans are not yet on board with Governor Scott Walker’s tax cut proposal for this year. Walker and republican assembly Speaker Robin Vos announced a deal today.
Families would receive a $100 rebate for each school-aged child living at home. There would also be a sales tax holiday the first weekend of August for purchases under $100.
But republican senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald isn’t committing to backing the idea yet. Democrats are blasting the rebate and sales tax holiday as an election year gimmick.
