Guilty. This is the plea Jake Patterson says he’ll enter when he’s back in a Barron County courtroom later this month.
In a letter sent to the NBC affiliate in Minneapolis, the man charged with murdering the parents of Jayme Closs and then kidnapping her answered 11 questions tied to the case.
One of them asked “what is your plan now? Plead guilty or take the case all the way to trial?”
His reply: “plead guilty. I want Jayme and her relatives to know that.”
He says he plans to do this at his arraignment hearing on March 27th.
Barron County sheriff, Chris Fitzgerald told the Associated Press he could not comment.
Patterson’s attorneys did not immediately respond to messages from the AP.
