A Michigan prosecutor says Uber driver – Jason Dalton – has allegedly admitted to carrying out a deadly shooting rampage this weekend in the Kalamazoo area.
The prosecutor says Dalton waived his right against self-incrimination and said he was – quote – “involved in these incidents.”
News of the admission came just a short time after Dalton made his first court appearance.

Forty-five-year-old Uber driver Jason Dalton making his first court appearance Monday, showing little emotion, and saying very little.
Judge says: “Are you Jason Brian Dalton?”
One word answers –”Yes” when asked to confirm his name.
And whether he understands the sixteen criminal offenses he is charged with…
Including: six counts of murder and two counts of attempted murder.
“The defendant did murder Mary Lou Nye. If guilty of this offense it is a felony punishable by a sentence of life in prison.”
Dalton – a former insurance adjuster with no prior criminal record…
Is accused of carrying out a deadly shooting rampage. In the Kalamazoo, Michigan area.
Beginning on Saturday around six p-m, firing at an apartment complex…
Four hours later at a car dealership,
And, fifteen minutes after that more shooting at a restaurant parking lot.
Police say Dalton targeted seemingly random victims…fatally shooting at least six people.
No word yet on a possible motive.
Meantime, Dalton reportedly continued to pick up and drop off Uber passengers in between shootings, including this couple.
Female rider says: “I would never expect someone that had just been out killing people to come and pick me up.”
Male rider says: “I halfheartedly joked at him and said, ‘you’re not the shooter are you?’ and he said ‘no, and said ‘are you sure, and he said no. I’m just really tired.”
Uber says Dalton did pass their background checks.
The county prosecutor says a search warrant was executed at Dalton’s house.
And a significant store of weapons was uncovered.
