BARRON Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – The Barron Police Chief says a fire that claimed the lives of a man and his two children last month was accidental. Chief Joe Vierkandt says final autopsy results confirm the three died from smoke inhalation.

He says the state DCI has not released an official cause of the fire, but he does not expect it to be anything suspicious. 44-year-old Donald Albee, and his children, 6-year-old Conner and 5-year-old Emily were killed in the house fire May 12.
