With the Super Bowl less than two weeks away, Fox 25/48’s Zach Prelutsky tells us about a local company that is helping get fans ready for the big game.
For the now 52 editions of the Super Bowl, Wincraft has been right there as the oldest licensee of the National Football League.
The Winona based company is in the middle of their Super Bowl… cranking out merchandise for the big game. Currently they are working on Super Bowl can coozies and lanyards with tickets holders.
This is the second time that the Super Bowl will be played in Minneapolis.
“We look forward it. What is really exciting that they’re only two and a half hours away we’re able to make a couple of different adjustments and our shipping schedules a lot easier. You know we said to ourselves we could actually drive the merchandise up there if we had to.”
And this time is just an appetizer for what will come after the game.
“Usually super super busy this time of the year and we’ve had a lot of product come through but after the Super Bowl on the fourth we’re going to be a lot busier.”
When the final whistle blows, Wincraft will start making memorabilia for whoever wins the big game that night, whether that be the Patriots or Eagles. Some that work at Wincraft hoped for a different team to be on the memorabilia these few weeks.
“We would have worn our hats with our horns on.”
They say that every fan base loves their team and they love helping keep those memories alive.
“New England is a great fan base, they’re always in our top five. During events they’re probably not as much because they’ve been there and done that. The Philly market… oh if they win that’s going to be great. We love first time winners!”
You can find merchandise from Wincraft online or if you’re in Minneapolis for the Super Bowl, at the NFL experience next week.
