EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEAU) – A Cadott man pleads not guilty to four felony counts related to the shooting death of an Altoona man. Today (11/13/23) In Eau Claire County Court, 27-year-old Kemone Golden entered not guilty pleas to a count of first-degree intentional homicide, two counts of recklessly endangering safety, and one count of discharging a firearm from a vehicle. He’s charged as a party to a crime on all four counts.
In September of last year, Eau Claire Police say 39-year-old Christopher Conner of Altoona was shot near the intersection of Bergen and Bellevue Avenues. He died at the hospital.
Golden is charged in the death, along with Michael Purnell and Xavier Thompson, both of Eau Claire. Golden’s next court date has not been set.
