Barron County mail carrier facing drug charges

Local News

A Chetek mail carrier has been charged in Barron County court with three drug charges.

Barron County Court Records show 66-year-old Timothy Wilson has been charged possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Barron County detectives say on Feb. 10 they conducted a search in Cameron where they found unused plastic bags, digital scale, drug paraphernalia and a sandwich bag with crystal like substance which was believed to be meth.

Law enforcement officers learned Wilson was a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. They located Wilson on route, where they found more crystals which they suspected to be meth, as well as about $929.

Wilson’s signature bond was set at $10,000 and he is scheduled to appear back in court on Feb. 19.
