BARRON COUNTY, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – A Barron County man is charged in a case of alleged stalking and fleeing from authorities.
The case involves 26-year-old Kiel Gowin, of Chetek. He had an initial appearance and the preliminary hearing is set for this Friday.
A complaint filed says Gowin was trying to prevent his girlfriend from driving to the Chetek Police Department.
When a police officer arrived, Gowin took off in his truck, starting a pursuit. It eventually ended when law enforcement applied a pit maneuver.
After being arrested, authorities say Gowin was very apologetic, and aware of what he did.
