Barron County women arrested after leading deputies on chase

BARRON COUNTY, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Barron County’s sheriff says one woman was arrested after leading deputies Wednesday on a chase. This started just before 5 p.m. on State Highway 25, just North of Barron.

In a statement, Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald says a deputy saw a van passing a car in a no passing zone.

The deputy tried to stop the van, but it sped up and a pursuit began. This stretched for about 11 miles before the van came to a stop.

The driver – 38-year-old Jayme Odash of Barron was arrested. She is being held in the Barron County Jail awaiting formal charges by the district attorney’s office.
