EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Breakfast in the Valley returns to the Chippewa Valley, with a twist.
In a new, drive-thru format took place Friday morning at the Eau Claire County Expo Center.
Vehicles were lined up nearly an hour before the start of the breakfast at 6 a.m.
The Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce pre-sold more than 900 Breakfast in the Valley boxes filled with products from local farmers and businesses, including the annual Breakfast in the Valley mug.
Chamber President & CEO Dave Minor says despite not being able to gather indoors, the message of the event remains the same.
“It’s about supporting but also recognizing how big of an agriculture community we have here, but [what’s] important about that is the economic impact that it makes and why it’s vital to our area to support our farmers and then as that product comes out of the farms where does it go,” said Minor.
