WYEVILLE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – One person was hurt, and power was knocked out for about 40 minutes after a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning in the town of Wyeville in Monroe County.
During a period of heavy rain, a 2020 freightliner and 2009 Pontiac G6 crashed head on while traveling on Highway 21. The freightliner went across the highway into the ditch and struck a power pole, causing electrical lines to fall onto the highway.
The driver of the Pontiac had to be extricated from the car and was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Power was out for nine customers for about 40 minutes. The crash remains under investigation
