CHIPPEWA FALLS Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Charges have now been filed against a Chippewa Falls man accused of shooting a woman earlier this month. Joshua Moggo is facing 19 counts including attempted first-degree intentional homicide, armed burglary, and stalking.

Police say on January 14th, Moggo went into a home on Birch Street in Chippewa Falls and shot his ex-girlfriend, who had recently filed a restraining order against him.

The district attorney says she had life-threatening injuries and had to have several surgeries. The criminal complaint says Moggo has a history of violent behavior and tried to break into the victim’s home before.

He was also convicted of kidnapping the child he shares with her in 2015. Moggo is being held on a one-million-dollar cash bond and is scheduled to be in court tomorrow afternoon.
