Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – This week, some of you may be turning on your air conditioner for the first time.
And that means, some units might need a few repairs.
Jim Hurtis, owner of Hurtis Heating and Air in Marathon City says your air filter would be the first step to ensuring a functioning unit.
He says, the sooner you begin preventative maintenance, the better.
Hurtis said, “They want to check in the spring of the year. Sometimes mice get in there. You might want to check once a year to make sure they’re not in there. If they chew wires, it pretty much can destroy the system.”
Hurtis adds if your A/C needs repairing put in a request for the repair as soon as possible.
The pandemic has put a high demand on many of the parts it takes to repair a unit, due to the increase in price.
