CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – A man arrested in Chippewa Falls is accused of an 8th OWI offense, drug, and weapons possession. The Chippewa Falls Police Department says at 4 a.m. on September 20th, officers were called to the family fare parking lot downtown to meet with a man claiming people in cars were following him around town.
The man was identified as Jeffrey Cassellius, and officers suspected drug impairment as he appeared nervous, and was sweating and speaking very quickly.
Officers found a bag of white powder on the driver’s seat, which tested positive for methamphetamine. A total of four knives were also hidden in the car. Cassellius was taken to jail by the officers.
