CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – A man has been arrested after police say he tried to meet up with a minor for sex. The Chippewa Falls Police Department says they got a call on September 29th that someone learned a man was sending sexual messages to a person who said they were 15.

After an investigation, officers identified that man as 39-year-old Brian Anderson. The police department says they were able to prove Anderson knowingly tried to meet up with who he thought was a 15-year-old girl for sex.

Anderson was arrested for use of a computer to facilitate a child sex crime. A search warrant was later carried out and several items were taken. Officers say this case is still being investigated, and there may be additional charges.
