Chippewa Falls raises breast cancer awareness with Paint the Town Pink

CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Chippewa Falls businesses are doing their part to support those fighting breast cancer.

Today marks the return of “Paint the Town Pink.”

Hosted by Chippewa Falls Main Street. The event lasts the entire week ending Sunday. It’s raising money for the local charity. “Funds for the Fighters”

This week. People can buy swag bags at main street’s headquarters filled with coupons to downtown businesses.

People can also enter to win prizes by shopping downtown.

Teri Ouimette, Chippewa Falls Main Street Executive Director said, “It is a community event where we can get together and appreciate people that have gone through this. And I think people are really profoundly affected by this.”

Ouimette says, unlike previous years. Doctors won’t be stationed in downtown businesses to answer questions about breast cancer due to the pandemic.
