CHIPPEWA VALLEY, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Chippewa Valley Technical College held a kickoff ceremony today as construction gets underway for a new center.
CVTC broke ground on its new transportation education center this morning.
The nearly 30 million dollar and 120 thousand square foot facility is the major project in the almost 49-million-dollar referendum approved in the April 2020 election.
The center will house 6 different transportation related programs.
CVTC President Bruce Barker says this is a great addition to the college.
Barker said, “It will really be a state-of-the-art facility, where you can learn all of the new technology and not too many of those exist right now.”
The construction is expected to last for 18 months and CVTC expects to start using the facility in September 2022.
