The second annual Chrisitian music festival, Onefest, wrapped up this morning in Chippewa Falls. The final event of Onefest was a worship service this morning.
More than 400 people gathered at the northern Wisconsin State Fair grounds to hear music and listen to speakers from different area churches. Admission was free for the family-friendly worship service. The festival director says the idea of the service is to bring people together.
All the planning team members come from different religious backgrounds: Baptist, Catholic, Lutheran, Nondemonational, and Bible Church, they come from all across the board in the Chippewa Valley to put this on. Our message today is becoming one for the one true God, so we want everyone to all be welcomed in.Heather Flashinski, Onefest Director
Organizers say this year’s festival was successful with about 3,500 people attending across the three days. The hope is to host Onefest again next summer.
