LA CROSSE/EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Today, the state of Wisconsin surpasses three thousand deaths from COVID-19.
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services is reporting 51 new deaths today.
The badger state adds more than 62-hundred new cases of COVID-19 in the last day, bringing the total in the state past 350-thousand.
DHS says 78 percent of people with the virus in the state have recovered.
In today’s report, 190 more Wisconsinites are hospitalized.
In western Wisconsin, Eau Claire County has now surpassed 7-thousand cases of the virus after adding 145 cases today.
The Eau Claire City-County Health Department is also reporting 4 new deaths in the county today, this brings the total death toll in the county to 54.
Chippewa County adds 206 new cases today, this brings the total in the county to more than 4-thousand cases if the virus.
The county also reports one new death today, bringing the death toll in the county to 45.
Dunn County reports 29 new cases today, its total now surpasses 23-hundred.
La Crosse County adds 206 new cases of the virus, the total in La Crosse County now sits at nearly 73-hundred.
