LA CROSSE/EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Today’s COVID-19 stats from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services show more than 12 percent of the state’s population have received at least one dose of the vaccine.
That total is more than 715-thousand with close to 240-thousand people completing their vaccination. New cases increased by slightly more than 400 and deaths linked to the virus went up by four.
One of the state’s newest fatalities is out of Chippewa County, Rock, and Sauk counties combined for the other three deaths. The county’s official COVID-19 case count decreased by one.
Eau Claire County moves up by 11, La Crosse County adds four and Dunn County tacks on 6.
Barron County sees 29 new cases since Friday.
