Coronavirus in Wisconsin state and local update La Crosse and Eau Claire 3-18-21

LA CROSSE/EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Almost 13 percent of Wisconsin’s population has completed the COVID-19 vaccination regimen. This comes after another 17- thousand people finished their “shots in the arm.”

Eau Claire and Chippewa County’s total of fully vaccinated people move above 15 percent today. La Crosse County reaches 16 percent. Dunn County has vaccinated 9-point-5 percent of its population.

New cases of COVID-19 in Wisconsin rose by 318 today. Deaths increased by 15 and the 7-day positivity average by test moved up by a tenth of a percent to 2.2.

Eau Claire County’s case count went up by 19. Chippewa County by 6, and La Crosse County by 10. Dunn County’s 8 new positive tests today marks their largest one-day increase in three weeks.
