LA CROSSE/EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Representative Ron Kind toured the vaccination clinic at UW-La Crosse Tuesday.
The clinic, housed in the Cleary Alumni and Friends Center, has distributed more than two thousand doses of the vaccine since opening March 9. After starting with a capacity of 200 doses per day, the clinic has ramped up to 250 doses, with the goal of hitting 1,000 by mid-April.
Representative Kind said the site is an unbelievable operation adding it is a well-oiled machine.
In all, 15 percent of the state’s population has finished the COVID-19 vaccination process.
Eau Claire County moves up to 18.6 percent. Chippewa County has 17.5 percent of its community members fully vaccinated. La Crosse County sits at 19 percent. 15.2 percent for Barron County, and Dunn County has 11.9 percent of its population vaccinated.
DHS suffered technical difficulties today delaying the daily case update until tomorrow.
