LA CROSSE/EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – More than 510- thousand Wisconsinites, or nearly 9 percent of the state’s population, have completed the vaccination for COVID-19.
Eau Claire County’s vaccination total is at 11 percent.
Chippewa County is 10-and-a-half percent.
La Crosse County’s vaccinated population is at 11.3 percent.
Barron County has 6.3 percent with over 28 hundred residents vaccinated, and Dunn County sits at 5.8 percent.
Wisconsin saw 28 deaths added today to COVID-1’s death toll. That’s the second-highest increase in the past week. New cases went up by 324 and the 7-day positivity average is at 2.1 percent.
Of the state’s 28 new fatalities, two are out of La Crosse County. They also had 14 new positive tests for the virus.
Eau Claire County’s case count went up by 9, Chippewa County by 8, Dunn County by 5, and Barron County tacks on two more cases.
