LA CROSSE/EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – According to figures from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, La Crosse County did something it hasn’t done for quite a while; record a single-digit increase in COVID-19 cases.
Today’s update from the state showed just eight new cases. This comes after 101 were logged since Friday and 479 within the past week.
Elsewhere, Eau Claire County adds 53 more positive COVID-19 tests since yesterday, moving closer to 2-thousand overall.
29 more cases from Dunn County. They’re now at 556. Today’s increase now means more than half of all the positive tests in Dunn County have been logged since September 16.
Chippewa County logs 39 more cases since Friday.
State DHS numbers today showed new COVID-19 cases in Wisconsin retreated below the 2 thousand mark.
Of all positive cases, roughly 1 in 6 close to 20 thousand, remain active.
Two more deaths bring the total number of fatalities to 1,283.
